SANKYO KASEI

Hall 55MF11

Highlights

Sankyo Kasei operates three domestic plants (in Niigata, Nagano, and Iwate) and provides plastic products through an integrated production system that covers everything from mold design and fabrication to molding and delivery.
A key strength of our company is our precision machining technology—honed over many years—which enables us to design and manufacture molds with micron-level precision and consistent quality.
For prototyping, we utilize "mother base" (cassette-style) mold systems compatible with 18–50 ton molding machines, combined with a design process streamlined by 3D CAD; this allows us to complete the entire workflow—from initial design to product delivery—in as little as 15 business days.
At the venue, you can view actual mold components manufactured by our company.

Biomass-based products

Biomass-based products

  • PROCESSING & MANUFACTURING INJECTION MOLDING OTHER INJECTION MOLDING

[NeCycle]
"NeCycle®" is a biomaterial derived from non-edible plant resources (cellulose). It is composed of cellulose (approximately 50%) extracted from non-edible plant sources—such as wood and rice straw—that do not compete with food supplies, along with other safe ingredients. As it contains no petroleum-based resins like PP or PE, it contributes to the reduction of plastic usage.
* ""NeCycle"" is a trademark or registered trademark of NEC.
[StarCross]
"StarCross 70PPi" is an eco-friendly polypropylene-based resin material (masterbatch) containing 70% starch as its main component, achieved through proprietary blending technology. By mixing starch particles with petroleum-based resin at a high concentration without damaging the starch particles, the product delivers excellent moldability comparable to conventional plastics. This allows manufacturers to utilize existing molding equipment and molds—thereby keeping production costs down—while significantly reducing both plastic consumption and CO2 emissions during incineration (achieving a 70% biomass content).

Medical Products

Medical Products

  • PROCESSING & MANUFACTURING INJECTION MOLDING INJECTION MOLDING (MEDICAL EQUIPMENT)

To meet the demand for disposable products, we propose a shift toward plastic solutions in the medical field.
By delving into the essence of these needs, we transform ideas once deemed.

3D-MID (Molded Interconnect Device) Components

3D-MID (Molded Interconnect Device) Components

  • PROCESSING & MANUFACTURING INJECTION MOLDING OTHER INJECTION MOLDING

Integrate circuits directly into molded plastic parts with 3D-MID (Molded Interconnect Device) technology. We support design, molding, laser processing and plating.
Sankyo Kasei selectively forms circuits on three-dimensional surfaces, integrating wiring, contacts, antennas and other functions into housings and mechanical components. This can reduce printed circuit boards, wiring and fastening parts, enabling smaller and lighter products, simpler assembly and greater design freedom.
From the product concept stage, we consider resin, geometry, circuit layout, component mounting and inspection, and propose an integrated process covering mold design, injection molding, laser processing, plating and evaluation. Please consult us about three-dimensional circuitry for sensors, lighting, automotive, medical, communication and other electrical and electronic equipment.
At our booth, visitors can examine actual MID samples and see the space-saving benefits of circuit integration.

Molds and Injection Molding for Thick-Wall, Transparent and Optical Parts

Molds and Injection Molding for Thick-Wall, Transparent and Optical Parts

  • PROCESSING & MANUFACTURING INJECTION MOLDING INJECTION MOLDING (LENS)

We leverage our expertise in polished molds and long-cycle molding to tackle the challenges associated with thick-walled, transparent, optical, and high-aesthetic-quality molding.
Japan Pla-Lens (JPL) specializes in resin products that demand a balance between visual appearance and internal quality, such as optical lenses, covers for lighting and sensors, and transparent thick-walled components.
For thick-walled molding, we fine-tune parameters—including mold temperature, holding pressure, gate sealing, and cooling time—to match the specific product geometry, thereby minimizing defects such as sink marks, waviness, voids, weld lines, and poor surface replication. By combining high-temperature mold/long-cycle molding (utilizing hydraulic molding machines) with advanced mold technologies—including mirror-finish processing—we can produce shapes that are difficult to achieve with standard high-cycle molding methods.
