  • PROCESSING & MANUFACTURING OTHER OTHER PROCESSING & MANUFACTURING

This is a basic PVD coating suitable for cutting tools, molds, and machine parts. With one of the industry’s largest AIP systems, it accommodates large workpieces. We promise to improve your productivity with high performance, short delivery times, and cost-effectiveness.

1. Industry-standard arc ion plating with 20 years of experience in various applications.
2. Accommodates large workpieces, short delivery times.
- With one of the largest arc ion plating systems in the country, we can accommodate coating processes for large workpieces up to φ750×900mm / 360kg.
3. A lineup of five film types of Ti-based and Cr-based coatings.
- Our basic TiN, low-friction TiCN, and heat/wear-resistant TiAlN coatings have a proven track record in a wide range of applications.
- CrN has low affinity with resin and copper, making it ideal for preventing adhesion.
- Acro, primarily composed of AlCrN, achieves the highest heat resistance temperature of 1000℃ in PVD coatings.
Lineup:TiN, TiCN, TiAlN, CrN, Acro

Deep Hole Inner Surface PVD Coating 'Deep Hole Type'

Deep Hole Inner Surface PVD Coating 'Deep Hole Type'

Industry First! Achieves Extended Lifespan for Deep Hole Molding Dies.
Maintaining the benefits of PVD coating that can be processed at temperatures below 500℃, we have enabled the creation of ceramic protective films on the inner surfaces of deep holes. This significantly extends the lifespan of deep hole dies and deep hole components where inner surface wear progresses.

Key features:
Achieving PVD Coating for Inner Surfaces of Deep Holes
- We can create a hard ceramic protective film (such as TiN or TiAlN) on the inner surface of deep holes with an L/D ratio of approximately 5, which is difficult with general PVD coating.
- Even on the inner surfaces of deep holes, it demonstrates high hardness and excellent adhesion comparable to general ceramic protective films.
- Significantly extended lifespan can be expected for molds that form on the inner surfaces of deep holes and machine parts that slide on the inner surfaces of deep holes.

Lineup:
diXis-TiN, diXis-TiCN, diXis-TiAlN, diXis-CrN, diXis-Acro

High-Performance PVD Coating “Smooth Type” with Suppressed Surface Roughness Formation

High-Performance PVD Coating “Smooth Type” with Suppressed Surface Roughness Formation

  • PROCESSING & MANUFACTURING OTHER OTHER PROCESSING & MANUFACTURING

This is a high-performance PVD coating that suppresses surface roughness formation. It is effective against galling, corrosion, and poor mold release in cold forming. It is compatible with polished finish molds and high-precision molds, as well as realizing improved moldability.

Key features:
1. Unique smooth coating technology
- For typical PVD coatings (AIP), microscopic irregularities called droplets are formed on the surface.
- We have developed our own PVD technology (HCD/UBMS) to provide smooth coatings with suppressed formation of droplets.

2. No galling, no adhesion
- In cold molding with soft materials may cause

PVD Coating for Die Casting Molds “Thick Film Type”

PVD Coating for Die Casting Molds “Thick Film Type”

Suitable for harsh high-temperature environments. Excellent wear resistance and resistance to melting.
This is a thick film PVD coating designed to address damage patterns in die casting molds. It suppresses melting damage in die casting molds used in harsh high-temperature environments, significantly extending their lifespan.

Key features:
1. Specialized in die casting molds
- Die-casting dies are subject to specific types of damage (heat checking, erosion and seizure).
- We offer four types of thick-film coatings tailored to different damage forms, cost, and delivery schedules.

2. Nitriding + thick film of 9μm
- With 9 μm thick coating which is three times thicker than the conventional coating, it prevents molten aluminum from entering the mold substrate and suppresses the occurrence of melting damage.
- By combining nitriding and coating processes for the substrate, erosion resistance can be further enhanced.(ViOLA-R / Acro9-R)

Lineup:
- Enphasis on erosion resistance: ViOLA, ViOLA-R
- Emphasis on seizure resistance: Acro9, Acro9P

DLC coating achieves overwhelmingly low friction characteristics

DLC coating achieves overwhelmingly low friction characteristics

  • PROCESSING & MANUFACTURING OTHER OTHER PROCESSING & MANUFACTURING

This DLC coating achieves overwhelmingly low friction characteristics.
Enhance the lifespan of tools and parts with thin and high-hardness DLC coating. Our lineup includes high adhesion DLC for molds and machine parts and hydrogen-free thin film DLC-i for aluminum alloy cutting tools.

Key features:
1. Diamond-Like Carbon
- DLC stands for Diamond-like Carbon, a general term for amorphous carbon structure containing sp2+sp3 hybridized carbon atoms
- Due to the structure is similar to diamond, hardness is its main feature
- Compare to very expensive diamonds, it can be produced on a variety of material surfaces at lower cost.
- It has an overwhelmingly low coefficient of friction compared to metallic materials.
- Even in a dry process, it has the same friction coefficient as oil lubrication.
- Can suppress adhesion of soft metals (aluminum alloys, etc.).

2. Strongly adheres to substrate
- By generating an adhesion layer between the DLC layer and the substrate, it exhibits excellent adhesion (DLC-i is DLC layer only).
- Even in a high load atmosphere, which is not good for general DLC, the original low friction characteristics of DLC can be demonstrated.

Lineup: DLC, DLC-i, DLC-ib

A lineup of Ion Nitriding, Radical Nitriding, and Deep Plasma Nitriding PRIZE120.
We have expanded our capabilities with Ion Nitriding equipment and Radical Nitriding equipment manufactured by NDK inc., and our in-house Nitriding equipment (PRIZE) to accommodate various nitriding processes tailored to specific applications.

Key features:
1. Enhance mold lifespan through surface hardening.
2. Enhance the durability and wear resistance of molds and mechanical parts.

Lineup:
1. Ion Nitriding:
We have four Ion Nitriding Equipments manufactured by NKD inc., capable of handling long-length items and heavy objects.
2. Radical Nitriding:
Radical nitriding minimizes the formation of a compound layer, allowing for combined treatments such as PVD coating after nitriding.
3. Plasma deep nitriding PRIZE120:
This is a next-generation plasma deep nitriding process that achieves deep nitriding depth and high surface hardness while suppressing the formation of a brittle compound layer.
